Hand Calligraphy Invitation Addressing...

Yup, that's what I've been up to this week. I especially love the look of white lettering on dark envelopes. Stunning! Slower addressing because I can't use my light box, but worth the extra .50 per envelope I think!

The navy lettering is my flourished Copperplate, and the white lettering is Spencerian. Which do you like best?

these look amazing! I've had the worse time with my envelope holders smudging my ink- any tricks?

I like the Copperplate better, because of the rounder flourishes. I think it really brings a sense of passion to the text. But I love both!

Thanks! I like the CD rack holder that John Neal carries, and I also nabbed some small/short wooden holders from IKEA that have been discontinued unfortunately... :( When I went back to look they were gone, but they are PERFECT for place cards. Never had smudging problems, but I always raise up the flap... If the flap is down it could push the wet ink into the holder.

I'm off to see what the tag is all about...

Stunning. If I receive one of your envelopes in the mail, I would frame it and hang it where I could look at it at least once a day.
